Students will apply the skills they have learned so far by designing and engineering an R.C. Car.

Tinkercad Ruler: Please watch the following video that will show you how to use the Tinkercad Ruler tool. It will save you a tremendous amount of time and increase the accuracy of the measurements. You will no longer have to count the squares on the Work Plane grid: Tinkercad Ruler Tool Tutorial.

1. Base Plate

Students will Build the Base Plate that support the vehicle.

2. Battery Mount Students will design and build a mount to hold the battery in place.

3. Servo Mount    Students will design and build a mount to hold the Servo Motor, which will allow them to steer the front wheels.

4. Transformer Mount Students will design and build a mount to hold the Transformer in place.

5. Wheels   Students will design and build the axles and wheels for their car.

6. Steering Rack Students will design and build the Steering Rack, which connects the two Steering Columns.

7. Lower Steering Column Students will design and build the lower Steering Column for their car.

8. Upper Steering Column Note: you do not need to create a Draft for the Upper Steering Column. The Upper and Lower Steering Column are the same design...but are flipped. Just copy/paste your Lower Steering Column into a new file and then select the "Mirror" button to the right of the "UnGroup" button. View Instruction #4 in the Lower Steering Column Instructions (above).

 

 

9. Motor Mount Students will build the mount that supports the motor that turns the gear that spins the axle and the wheels.
