Purpose:                  Students will practice Soft Skills and How to Sell Themselves

    Soft Skills

    Journal

    • Ask Class: Do you remember the woman that brought us on a tour of Google. She wasn’t the greatest coder in the world. Matter of fact, she had no tech knowledge. So what was it about her that made her so appealing to Google that they would hire her? (personality!)
    • Your grades and experience will open doors for you, but it is the soft skills that will get you the job. With your partner, come up with and write in your journal as many soft skills that you feel can help secure a job for you:

      Eye contact
      Firm handshake
      Smile
      Personality
      Confident
      Sense of Humor
      Well dressed.
